VISITOR COMPLEX OVERVIEW

The masterplan of this proposal is inspired by ISRO's historical achievements. The Moon and Mars missions are explored to define circulation and nature of the buildings – with each mass  relating to an overarching motif.

The gateway building that the visitor reaches right off the "shuttle" train. Acts as a node from where all points of the site can be accessed unencumbered through direct pathways. The ISRO pavilion lets the user decide between two paths.

Emplaced as the final exhibit atop the Vyomanaut loop, it concludes the astronaut experience storyline . It houses displays related to Mars. A simulated shuttle launch  leads the visitor into a mock-up Martian environment  to work on projects.

The launch view gallery is positioned at the north east­ern corner of the site (45 deg) to enable the visitors to have a clear view of all launches from both the existing launch pads. It can accommodate upto 10,000 visitors.

ISRO launch vehicles-Sounding Rockets, ASLV, PSLV, GSLV, Mk-Ill are displayed in 1:1 ratio in the rocket garden. The lawns present around the garden serve as photo points. An observation tower with an observatory rises from the memorial.
